influx

mirari‘s Influx is a sculpture using the data produced by the BIXI city bikes network. Each pixel represents the path of one user in the network. The animation of the sculpture helps visualizing the movements of Montrealers. Influx is a work of art that reflects the pulse of the city through its arteries that citizens make vibrate by their movements.

Presented during Montréal en lumière, this installation gathered thousands of visitors who got to observe their own movement within the city in an unprecedented way.
